MUSES (Multi-Use in European Seas) project update
The research under the MUSES (Multi-Use in European Seas) project is ongoing, but some of the results, including case studies and stakeholder profiles reports, can be found on the MUSES website.
The Multi-Use Analyses and sea basin syntheses reports are also underway, led by the SUBMARINER Network for Blue Growth EEIG. Reports are meant to underpin the development of the "Multi-Use of Oceans Action Plan", by providing a clear overview of real multi-use potentials that could be realised, and draw attention to barriers that can be overcome (considering a number of perspectives i.e. legal, environmental, economic, stakeholder mind-set).
In order to ground-truth these findings and identify the right actions necessary to bring the multi-use of oceans, from concept to life, the MUSES project will one more time gather relevant stakeholders at workshops in Dundee, Edinburgh and Venice. The stakeholders from different governance levels, from maritime business community, planning, policy and regulatory agencies, financing bodies, and research institutions will meet to discuss maritime multi-use priorities and provide an important input for the MUSES Action Plan.
The information & registration for the workshop in Edinburgh can be accessed here. For more information about the workshops in Dundee and Venice please contact Ivana Lukic at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
