The UNITED project approved: acknowledging the importance of multi-use platforms in marine & ocean space for European maritime industry and local ecosystems
The UNITED (multi-Use platforms and co-locatioN pilots boosting cost-effecTive, Eco-friendly and sustainable production in marine environments) project provides evidence by means of pilot demonstrators that the development of multi-use platforms or co-location of different activities in a marine and ocean space is a viable approach (economically, socially and environmentally) for European maritime industry and local ecosystems.
The project gathers 26 partners from across the EU, raging from technology design, engineering and development companies, specialised consultancies, research and the leading commercial entities from the aquaculture, tourism and renewable energies sectors.
The SUBMARINER Network will be responsible for the WP9 Dissemination, Exploitation and Training Activities, this includes i.a. the development of a Commercialisation roadmap and policy briefs advised by the pilots.
The project responded to a Blue Growth 5 Horizon 2020 call for proposals and will receive the EU contribution of 9,822,668.50 EURO
