First International Cluster Workshop in Kiel - cooperation opportunities in the Baltic Sea Region
Schleswig-Holstein’s Minister for Economic Affairs, Transport, Employment, Technology and Tourism, Dr Bernd Buchholz, welcomed the participants of the First International Cluster Workshop in Kiel in the framework of the Smart Blue Regions project.
Some 35 managers of clusters and cluster-like organisations in the fields of maritime technology and tourism from 7 countries in the Baltic Sea Region accepted the invitation of the Smart Blue Regions lead partner to Kiel. During the first day, the participants exchanged their views and experiences on best practice cases and challenges regarding structures, activities, financing and internationalisation of cluster organisations. The second day of the workshop was dedicated to developing ideas for future cooperation projects in the Baltic Sea Region. The participants were intensively involved in group work and enjoyed the maritime atmosphere in Kiel for networking.
